Information
Frøystad Lobster Gauge 90/115 mm
From 1 October 2026, lobsters must be measured by the length of the carapace. “The carapace length is measured from the rear edge of the eye socket to the rear edge of the carapace, along the centre line.”* With the Frøystad key for sustainable lobster fishing, you can easily check both the minimum and maximum size. The practical hole makes it easy to attach the gauge to a cord or hang it in a convenient place while hauling the next pot.
The lobster gauge is made from PETG filament, a durable material that withstands water and weather well. It is therefore well suited for use in marine environments.
Minimum size: 90 mm
Maximum size: 115 mm
From the Swedish border up to and including Agder county, lobsters with a carapace length of 115 mm or more must be returned to the sea.*
